ANTIQUE LINEN SHEET, HAND EMBROIDERED PLUS 2 PILLOW CASES, BUTTONED OPENINGS For auction is this beautifully hand worked white linen flat sheet with a pair of matching pillow cases. The sheet measures a huge 96” by 104” and was clearly made for a bride’s trousseau. The pillow cases are 35” by 22 ½”. They have pretty mother of pearl buttons securing the opening. The sheet is decorated with drawn thread work on the fold back as well as raised, hand worked floral swags. There is also a satin stitch monogram that looks like AS, worked on all three items. The sheets is in superb condition as are the pillow cases, though the pillow cases have yellowed a bit with age and storage. Perfect for dressing a lovely antique bed, or simply to drape over an old cedar towel horse… Scroll down for lots more photos.
